Episode Summary:

Sunit Suchdev is a Certified Life Coach specializing in helping new and expecting moms prepare for motherhood so they don't end up losing themselves in overwhelm. She's a speaker and an author, and has her undergraduate degree in Physical Education specializing in early childhood development. Also known as the Modern Twin Mom, she has over 20 years of experience working with children, and is a mom of twin four year-olds herself. She also recently launched her own podcast, Modern Mommy Prepschool, where she helps new and expecting moms get to the bottom of what it truly means to be an awesome parent, raising awesome kids, without losing yourself.

In this episode, Sunit shares with us her 5 Pillars of Parenthood, which include the five main areas that she helps new and expecting parents go through to avoid that feeling of new parent overwhelm and burnout.  A lot of what we talk about today will apply whether you’re pregnant and expecting your first child, or even if you’re a seasoned parent.  This is just a wonderful framework that will help both moms and dads discover what their true values are as a family, and how to align their actions so they can feel fulfilled, prepared, and on track as a parent.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

  • We cover the five areas of parenthood that will help you and your partner become intentional about how you approach your marriage, your parenting, and how you can become more intentional about how you operate in your family.
  • How you can use these 5 pillars of parenthood to connect more deeply with your partner and reduce the conflict that can come up for new parents.
  • How every family can live a more peaceful and enjoyable life with kids by planning ahead and becoming more intentional.
