Episode Summary:
In this episode we talk about finding strength and identity in those tough moments of parenthood, and goodness knows we have plenty of those as working parents right? I loved this conversation with our guest Becky Burgess. I had so many questions prepared for her, and I didn't touch on most of them because our conversation just flowed so organically in wonderful directions. I loved the vulnerability and the heart and the wisdom that Becky shared with us today, and I hope you do too!
Becky Burgess is a mother of two and a wife to her high school sweetheart. She owns a social media marketing company, Splash Owl Media. When she was pregnant with her first baby, she decided she wanted to have an all-natural childbirth, and she had both of her children via water-birth at a birthing center. After a series of difficult personal events including getting fired from her job during her maternity leave and dealing with postpartum depression, she started seeing a therapist and was finally able to set some much-needed boundaries, manage her postpartum depression, and find love in the little moments. As she calls it, she "redefined herself."
